Leaks have a way of stealing the show. Evan Blass, the leakster many in tech trust, has just served up renders that pull back Motorola's curtain on its next wireless earbuds: the Moto Buds 2 Plus.
They don't look like their predecessors. The Buds 2 Plus trade the squat, horizontal silhouette of the Buds+ for a vertical stem design — taller, sleeker, a different silhouette in the ear. The charging case continues the trend of playful finishes: the exterior matches the earbuds' color while the interior wears a contrasting shade. On the lid sits Motorola's batwing logo and, crucially, the words "Sound By Bose".
That last detail matters. "Sound By Bose" isn’t a marketing flourish; it's a flag. When a brand like Bose is attached to tuning, listeners expect a certain clarity and musical balance. Will it guarantee audiophile perfection? No. But it does shift expectations toward more refined mids and a less aggressive tuning curve than some typical OEM presets.

Leaked notes point to active noise cancellation as a likely inclusion. Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support are also being mentioned, hinting that Motorola is aiming for both daily usability and richer, more immersive playback when the source material and device chain permit it.
Timing is still vague. Motorola launched the original Moto Buds+ in April 2024, so this successor arrives roughly two years later in the product cycle. That gap is long enough to justify a meaningful redesign and new features, but short enough that Motorola will want a clear reason for owners to upgrade.
Images and branding give us the plot. Spec leaks and price will write the rest. Expect more photos and partial specs to surface in the weeks ahead — and then, finally, an official reveal.
