Cheap doesn’t have to mean compromise. Honor’s new X6d 5G hits the Middle Eastern market with a familiar bargain playbook: big display, long-lasting battery and a camera that looks better on paper than its price tag suggests.
The phone sports a 6.75-inch TFT LCD at 720 x 1600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate, which makes everyday scrolling noticeably smoother. The panel tops out at about 450 nits of typical brightness and includes eye comfort features like dynamic dimming; Honor also cushions it with aluminosilicate glass and rounded corners to keep wear-and-tear in check.
Under the hood sits the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 paired with an ARM G57 MC2 GPU. You can choose configurations up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and the software stack is Android 16 with MagicOS 10 layered on top. Honor hasn’t published a detailed update road map, so long-term support remains something to watch.
Photography centers on a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, joined by a tiny QVGA secondary sensor for depth and basic scene detection. Video tops out at 1080p, and Honor says the system can push up to 10x digital zoom. Selfie duties are handled by a 5-megapixel front camera capable of 1080p recording.
Battery life is where the X6d really leans into value: a 5260mAh cell with 15W wired charging through USB-C. Connectivity covers the essentials — dual nano-SIM slots with 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC on select models and a headphone jack for those who still prefer wired audio. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor keeps things simple and quick. The Honor X6d 5G aims to balance power, camera versatility and affordability in one neat package.
Design-wise the handset is slim at roughly 7.89mm and weighs about 186 grams. Color options at launch are Ocean Cyan and Midnight Black, and memory trims include 4GB+128GB, 4GB+256GB and 6GB+256GB. Pricing starts around $150 in the Middle East, which makes this a contender for buyers seeking 5G basics without flashy extras.
So is it the best phone for everyone? No. But if you want a sizable display, respectable battery life and a 50MP main shooter without emptying your wallet, the X6d is worth a closer look—especially if Honor expands availability beyond the region soon.
