Tecno has quietly added another model to its Spark 50 lineup, and this one is built for the practical crowd. The new Spark 50 4G arrives with a massive 7,000 mAh battery, a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, and a familiar big-screen formula that keeps the price-focused playbook firmly in view.

The phone features a 6.78-inch LCD display with 720x1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, so scrolling and everyday navigation should feel smoother than you might expect from a budget-friendly device. Under the hood sits the Helio G81, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage depending on the version.

A battery built to outlast the day

The headline feature here is obvious. A 7,000 mAh battery is the kind of spec that turns heads, especially in this class. Tecno is also including 18W wired charging, which will not be lightning fast, but it should keep the phone moving without much fuss.

Camera hardware is straightforward. The rear setup is led by a 50MP main camera, while the front carries an 8MP selfie shooter. It is not trying to reinvent mobile photography, but it covers the basics that matter most to everyday users.

The Spark 50 4G runs Android 16 and measures 167.8 x 79.22 x 8.18 mm. That gives it a fairly large footprint, though the design is still slim enough for a device with such a huge battery inside. Tecno will sell it in Halo Blue, Titanium Grey, Ink Black, Aurora Purple, and Bloom Pink.

Extra features that push it beyond the basics

Tecno has also packed in a few extras that make the Spark 50 4G more interesting than the average budget handset. There is an IR blaster, IP64 protection against dust and splashes, and drop resistance tested up to 1.8 meters. The phone also supports FreeLink 2.0, a feature that lets compatible devices connect directly to one another even when there is no mobile signal, at distances of up to 1.5 km.

That kind of off-grid connectivity is still rare, and it gives the Spark 50 4G a small but notable edge in situations where ordinary phones simply run out of options.

The new model will be offered in three memory configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. For buyers who want a simple phone with long battery life, a high refresh rate display, and a few rugged extras, the Spark 50 4G lands in a very sensible place.

“I love exploring gadgets, apps, and trends that redefine how we connect, work, and play in a digital world.”
