Ayaneo has unveiled the Next II, its new flagship Windows handheld aimed at gamers who want desktop-class performance on the go. Bigger and more powerful than the company’s budget-minded models, the Next II brings a large OLED screen and a high-end AMD chip to the portable-PC arena.
Desktop-level specs, handheld form
The Next II centers on a 9.06-inch OLED display with a 2400 x 1504 resolution and a variable refresh rate that spans 60–165 Hz—sharp, vivid visuals and smooth frame pacing for everything from esports to AAA single-player titles. Under the hood sits AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a chip built to handle demanding games and streaming workloads.
Ayaneo pairs that silicon with a substantial 115 Wh battery. The company hasn’t published real-world runtimes yet, and given the power on tap, users should temper expectations for long endurance sessions.

Controls and customization
To match its internal power, the Next II uses Hall Effect sticks and triggers for improved precision and durability. The handheld also includes two smart touchpads that accept gesture mapping, four programmable rear buttons, and an additional four customizable buttons—giving players plenty of input options for different genres and playstyles.
- Display: 9.06-inch OLED, 2400 x 1504, 60–165 Hz
- Processor: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395
- Battery: 115 Wh (manufacturer hasn’t confirmed real-world battery life)
- Controls: Hall Effect sticks & triggers, dual touchpads, 8 customizable buttons
Ayaneo designed the Next II to square off against other flagship handhelds from brands like Lenovo and ASUS. Rather than chase ultralight or ultra-affordable niches, this model targets enthusiasts who prioritize raw performance and a large, high-quality display. Expect it to appeal to users who want to run modern PC games, stream, or use heavy creative apps away from a full desktop.
Price hasn’t been announced, but early indications point to a premium tag—likely around $2,000—so the Next II will be aimed at buyers willing to spend for top-tier handheld performance.
