LG’s next-generation OLED line-up has leaked ahead of its expected reveal, and the headlines are all about brightness. Two new flagship models — the OLED G6 and OLED W6 — reportedly introduce a new “Hyper Radiant” tandem panel and a suite of enhancements aimed at brighter HDR, cleaner blacks in bright rooms, and stronger AI-driven picture processing.
Hyper Radiant and a big brightness boost
According to early reports, LG will pair its new Hyper Radiant panel with a feature called Brightness Booster Ultra. The claimed numbers are striking: up to 3.9× the brightness of LG’s entry-level B-series OLEDs, and a clear step up from the current G5’s improvements. That combination promises punchier highlights for HDR content while preserving the deep blacks OLEDs are known for.
LG also appears to be improving the screen surface with a better anti-reflective coating to reduce glare in bright rooms — useful for living rooms with lots of daylight where OLED reflections can be an issue.
Design, sizes and a smarter picture engine
The G6 keeps LG’s Gallery Series aesthetic that hugs the wall, with sizes reportedly ranging from 48 inches up to an enormous 97-inch model. Under the hood is the new α11 AI processor, which LG says will deliver stronger AI upscaling and image optimization, sharpening lower-resolution content and improving motion and color processing.

Gamer-friendly features, wireless conveniences
Gaming remains a focus. Leaks indicate the G6 will support a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision HDR for games, HDMI auto low-latency mode, plus AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. Wireless streaming options such as AirPlay 2 and Google Cast are also expected to be included.
What sets the W6 apart?
The OLED W6 reportedly shares most of the G6’s hardware and the Hyper Radiant panel but adds LG’s Zero Connect Box. This external hub houses HDMI and USB ports and transmits video wirelessly to the screen, leaving only a thin power cable attached for a near-cableless look. Expected sizes for the W6 are 77 and 83 inches — a living-room centerpiece for those who want a clean installation.
Taken together, the leaks suggest LG is pushing OLED brightness and usability in 2026, aiming to close the gap between OLED contrast and higher peak luminance. Official pricing and launch details are still pending, but if these specs hold up, the G6 and W6 could be among the most compelling OLED TVs of the year for both cinephiles and gamers.
