HMD Global's upcoming Pulse 2 series has leaked in detail, revealing three budget to midrange phones that share the same Unisoc chipset but diverge sharply on cameras and displays. The Pulse 2 Pro aims to stand out with an iPhone-style rear module and a stronger camera package.
Pulse 2 Pro steals the spotlight
The headline device, Pulse 2 Pro, introduces a redesigned rear camera island that resembles the wider layout seen on the iPhone 17 Pro. It comes in green, purple and black, and packs a surprisingly capable imaging setup for the segment: a 50MP front sensor plus a 50MP main rear camera and a new 8MP ultrawide. The display is a 6.72-inch IPS panel with 1080p-plus resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
- Chipset: Unisoc Tiger T7250 (12nm, 2x Cortex-A75 at 1.82GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.61GHz)
- Display: 6.72-inch IPS, 1080p+, 90Hz
- Cameras: 50MP selfie, 50MP main rear, 8MP ultrawide
- Memory: 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage
- Battery and charging: 5,000mAh with 20W USB-C charging
- Extras: side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, 3.5mm jack, IP52 splash resistance
HMD is clearly pushing the Pulse 2 Pro as the camera-focused model in the line, pairing a higher-res front sensor with a more versatile rear array and a sharper display than its siblings.

Two cheaper siblings: Pulse 2+ and Pulse 2
The Pulse 2+ trades resolution for speed: a 6.7-inch 720p-plus screen that runs at 120Hz. Camera hardware is simpler—a 13MP selfie shooter and a 50MP main rear sensor with no ultrawide. Battery size and the Unisoc Tiger T7250 chipset remain the same as the Pro.
The base Pulse 2 keeps the same processor and 5,000mAh battery but offers a 6.7-inch 720p-plus display at 90Hz. Its camera suite is modest: a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary lens and an 8MP front camera.

One Geekbench listing points to a 4GB RAM variant running Android 15, although the Pro model is expected to ship with 6GB or 8GB options. With memory prices fluctuating, it remains unclear which markets will get the higher RAM and storage tiers. HMD has not yet confirmed launch dates or pricing, but the lineup positions Pulse 2 as a competitively equipped midranger with the Pro version targeting buyers who want better imaging and a more premium look.
Expect more leaks and hands-on impressions as launch approaches. Will the iPhone-like camera island and twin 50MP sensors be enough to sway midrange shoppers? Time will tell.
