LG's 9mm Wireless OLED evo W6 — Pencil-Thin TV Unveiled

LG has lifted the curtain on the OLED evo W6, a flagship television built around an almost impossibly thin 9mm panel and a cable-free philosophy. Revealed in Las Vegas ahead of CES 2026, this model targets buyers who want a luxe living-room aesthetic, serious gamers chasing ultra-fast refresh rates, and anyone tired of visible wires running along their walls.

Design that disappears on the wall

Unlike earlier "wallpaper" concepts that relied on separate display and electronics modules, the W6 folds the screen, motherboard, power board and speakers into a single wafer-thin housing designed for flush mounting. External sources connect to LG’s compact Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits 4K video up to 165Hz with minimal latency — letting you tuck away set-top boxes and game consoles out of sight while keeping responsive performance.

LG also applied a premium anti-reflective coating and boosted peak brightness, so that the ultra-thin build doesn’t cost you real-world viewability in bright rooms. The company calls its new panel treatment Hyper Radiant Color, promising wider color and stronger highlights compared with previous OLED models.

AI, gaming chops, and smart features

Under the hood the W6 runs on LG’s Alpha 11 AI processor, which powers image tuning and upscaling as well as the TV’s smart capabilities. The upgraded webOS includes integrations with Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini, bringing expanded voice-driven assistance and contextual search right to the TV experience.
