If you measure phones by how long they stay awake, this leak will make you grin. A tip from deep inside HyperOS 3 code suggests Poco's next X-series duo won't skimp on runtime: the X8 Pro is said to ship with a 6,500 mAh cell, while the X8 Pro Max allegedly packs a staggering 8,500 mAh battery.
Short and sweet: both models are reported to support 100W wired charging. That changes the calculus — massive capacity plus fast top-up. Yes, it’s a leak, so take it with salt. Still, the numbers are hard to ignore.
Why does this matter? Poco's X8 Pro may be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 5, and the X8 Pro Max could trace its roots to the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. If true, you should expect flagship-level displays and silicon, but with batteries tailored to Poco’s positioning — large, but slightly smaller than their Redmi counterparts. The X8 Pro Max would still mark the biggest battery we’ve seen in a Poco to date.

On paper, the rumored X8 Pro looks capable: a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel at roughly 1,268 x 2,756 pixels, 120Hz refresh, ultra-fast 3,840Hz PWM dimming and peak brightness numbers pushing toward 3,500 nits. Under the hood, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 is the likely driver, paired with 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. Imaging duties would center on a 50MP main sensor with OIS, supported by an 8MP ultrawide and a 20MP selfie cam.
The X8 Pro Max, per the same leak, would step up the canvas to about 6.83 inches and a resolution near 1,280 x 2,772, while keeping that 120Hz refresh and 3,840Hz PWM for smooth motion and aggressive dimming control. It’s tipped to use the faster Dimensity 9500s chip, but maintain the same memory and storage tiers and camera setup as the smaller X8 Pro.
Both phones are said to offer 100W wired charging, pairing huge capacities with surprisingly rapid recharge rates.
Where does that leave buyers? If these specs land, Poco will be leaning into the endurance niche without sacrificing display quality or performance. The only caveat: code leaks can mislead — names, exact battery sizes, and internals sometimes shift before launch. Still, the trend is clear: endurance-focused hardware with flagship display chops.
Will Poco price these as bargain battery kings or premium stamina phones? Keep an eye on official reveals; in the meantime, imagine what a week of use on a single charge could let you do.
