Samsung's Next Tabs and Watches: S12+, Ultra, Watch9

Samsung is quietly preparing its next hardware wave. Recent IMEI database records, dug up by device trackers, list four unreleased models: Galaxy Tab S12+, Tab S12 Ultra, Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Short. Significant.

Those entries aren’t a wish list — they’re clues. IMEI listings don’t reveal marketing slides, but they do show which device SKUs exist and are moving through certification systems. When Samsung registers a device with an IMEI, it usually means the product is past the prototype stage and on a path toward production.

The tablet cadence looks deliberate. Samsung appears to alternate between vanilla and Plus models one year, while the Ultra variant arrives consistently. In 2024 we saw the Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra; 2025 brought the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra. The pattern implies 2026 will host the Tab S12+ alongside a Tab S12 Ultra.

Smartwatches follow a similar rhythm. The original Galaxy Watch Ultra landed in 2024, and whispers have been building about a successor. A report last month pegged the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 for a summer debut, likely paired with the Galaxy Watch9 family. If Samsung keeps to past behavior, the Ultra line will focus on endurance and robust sensors, while the Watch9 models will target mainstream users with iterative platform and battery improvements.

What should buyers expect beyond names and model numbers? Modest hardware lifts are most likely: updated chips, longer battery life, and camera or display refinements on the tablets, plus tighter Wear OS integration on the watches. Nothing here screams revolution. Instead, think of careful evolution — tuning the recipe rather than rewriting it.

Leaks like IMEI records set the stage, but Samsung still controls the script. Official specs, pricing and launch timing will arrive when the company decides the moment is right. Until then, these registrations are the best map we have to Samsung’s next moves.
