Mercedes launches C 300 AMG Line Plus Edition in Australia
Mercedes-Benz has quietly introduced a limited-run C 300 AMG Line Plus Edition to Australian showrooms on 25 February 2026. Positioned as an expressive take on the compact executive C‑Class sedan, the model adds a selection of visual and equipment upgrades to the regular C 300 while keeping the proven powertrain intact.

What sets the AMG Line Plus apart
The new edition leans into a darker, sportier aesthetic and a slightly more luxurious cabin finish. Highlights include the Night Package with high-gloss black trim on the beltline strip, window surrounds, grille and mirror casings, plus an AMG spoiler lip and 19-inch five-twin-spoke wheels with a blacked-out finish. Inside, Mercedes fits metal-structure trim across the dashboard and centre console for a sharper, more tactile look.

Key exterior and interior additions:
- Night Package and AMG exterior accents
- 19-inch black five-twin-spoke wheels
- Metal-structure trim on dash and centre console
- AMG Line Interior with Artico upholstery and heated sports seats
The manufacturer describes the car as targeted toward buyers who 'seek an expressive sedan', and it carries over many of the C 300s core comforts: dual-zone climate control, Agility Control suspension, tinted rear windows, keyless go and entry, heated and electrically folding mirrors, power trunk lid and LED headlights.
Technology and driver assistance
The AMG Line Exterior package also bundles adaptive high beam assist and a 360-degree camera system. Additional driver aids on the spec sheet include blind spot assist, active lane keeping assist, traffic sign assist, active parking assist with Parktronic and a tyre pressure loss warning system. Those wanting both visual presence and modern safety tech will find the Plus Edition well balanced.

Performance and drivetrain
Mercedes has kept the powertrain unchanged. Under the bonnet sits the familiar 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with mild-hybrid assistance, paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and available in rear-wheel-drive or 4Matic all-wheel-drive layouts. Official outputs remain 190 kW (255 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h sprint time of around 5.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Pricing, availability and market context
In Australia the 2026 C 300 AMG Line Plus Edition starts at AU$95,400. As part of the launch campaign Mercedes is offering a driveaway price of AU$94,900 until 30 June 2026. The company confirms the edition will be offered in limited numbers in Australia but has not disclosed exact allocation figures.
This release further sharpens Mercedes presence in the compact executive segment, where the C-Class regularly competes with rivals such as the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. The Plus Edition aims to attract buyers who want a more distinctive look and a higher level of standard equipment without stepping up to the full AMG models.

Highlights:
- Limited-run C 300 variant with Night Package and AMG touches
- Same 2.0-litre mild-hybrid powertrain: 190 kW and 400 Nm
- Launch price AU$95,400 with AU$94,900 driveaway campaign until 30/06/2026
Would the AMG Line Plus Edition be enough to sway you toward the C-Class? For buyers seeking sporty styling, extra standard tech and strong performance in a compact executive sedan, it will be a tempting proposition.

Nice extras but they kept the same engine, so you're basically paying for looks. Not bad, but feels a bit like lipstick on the same pig lol

Wow, blacked-out wheels and metal trim do make it meaner. Still, 95k for a non-AMG? tempting, but I'd want to test the ride first...
