A new color might sound like a small change. Step inside Xiaomi’s updated SU7, though, and it tells a different story.
The Chinese tech giant has revealed a fresh interior theme called “Cream Beige,” a warm, understated palette designed to make the electric sedan feel calmer, softer, and noticeably more premium. It arrives alongside a broader refresh of the SU7 lineup—touching everything from suspension hardware to charging architecture—just as competition in the C‑segment EV market intensifies.
Prices for the new-generation SU7 start at 229,900 yuan (about $32,800) and climb to 309,900 yuan ($44,300), a modest bump of just over 10,000 yuan compared with the current model.
A cabin designed to feel warmer
Xiaomi describes the new Cream Beige interior as being inspired by the look and texture of handcrafted sand pottery. In practice, that translates into a low‑saturation beige tone that spreads across the cabin, creating a relaxed and airy atmosphere rather than the stark minimalism often seen in EV interiors.
The seats and door panels feature refined stitching patterns that add depth without overwhelming the design. Meanwhile, the sub‑instrument panel and steering wheel have been completely redesigned, giving the cockpit a fresher and more cohesive look.
The goal seems clear: less gadget showroom, more modern lounge.
Buyers can choose from three versions of the SU7, each carrying the same overall design language but with different performance and suspension setups.
Subtle outside, serious upgrades underneath
From the outside, the updated SU7 stays largely faithful to the sleek silhouette that helped the original model stand out. Look closer, though, and small changes appear. A millimeter‑wave radar unit now sits neatly integrated within the front grille, supporting Xiaomi’s growing suite of driver‑assistance features.
The distinctive “waterdrop” headlights remain, now capable of projecting high beams as far as 400 meters. Wheel customization is another highlight, with dozens of rim styles available for buyers who want their SU7 to look a little different from the next one at the charging station.
Dimensionally, nothing dramatic changes. The sedan keeps its C‑segment footprint: 4,997 mm long, 1,963 mm wide, and 1,445 mm tall, riding on a 3,000 mm wheelbase.
Underneath, however, the engineering team has been busy.

Every version now comes with wider tires—245 mm at the front and 265 mm at the rear—improving grip and stance. The Pro and Max models add a closed dual‑chamber air suspension paired with CDC adaptive dampers, allowing the car to constantly adjust ride comfort and handling.
Braking performance also gets attention, with four‑piston fixed front calipers and larger brake pad surfaces across the lineup.
Then there’s the technology stack. All models now include LiDAR and 4D millimeter‑wave radar, powered by a computing platform capable of 700 TOPS. That hardware runs Xiaomi’s HAD end‑to‑end assisted driving system, pushing the SU7 further into the advanced driver‑assistance arena.
Power comes from Xiaomi’s V6s Plus Super Motor, fitted across the entire range. In single‑motor form, the rear‑drive SU7 produces 235 kW (315 hp) and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. Dual‑motor versions step things up with a 220 kW front motor and a 288 kW rear unit, pushing the top speed to 265 km/h.
The biggest change may lie in the electrical architecture. Xiaomi has moved the entire lineup to an 800‑volt system, dramatically improving charging capability.
The standard SU7 offers a driving range of around 720 km. The Pro variant stretches beyond 900 km, while the Max version delivers about 835 km depending on configuration.
Built on an 897‑volt silicon‑carbide high‑voltage platform, the sedan supports ultra‑fast charging that can add up to 670 km of range in just 15 minutes under ideal conditions.
For a company that only recently entered the car business, Xiaomi is moving fast. The SU7 refresh suggests the brand isn’t just chasing headlines—it’s methodically refining the formula that made its first electric sedan such a talking point.

Wow the Cream Beige actually grows on me. But 800V, LiDAR and 700 TOPS, Xiaomi really sprinting, kinda hyped yet skeptical.
