5 Minutes
Thirty-four minutes. That’s all it took for Xiaomi to move 15,000 units of its refreshed 2026 SU7. Not a soft launch. Not a quiet rollout. A full-blown sprint.
The updated SU7 lineup—Standard, Pro, and Max—lands squarely in the sweet spot of China’s fiercely competitive EV market, priced between 219,900 and 303,900 yuan (roughly $31,870 to $43,950). A modest 5,000 yuan deposit locks in a spot, and buyers were quick to jump in, with order adjustments open only through March 22. Blink, and you missed it.
This is Xiaomi doubling down on a formula that already worked. The original SU7, unveiled in late 2023, wasn’t just a debut—it was a statement. Up to 800 km of CLTC range. A sub-3-second sprint to 100 km/h. Suddenly, a smartphone giant was playing in the big leagues of electric performance sedans.
Sharper looks, smarter hardware
The 2026 refresh doesn’t shout for attention—it refines it. A redesigned front grille now integrates 4D mm-wave radar, paired with a clever high-pressure cleaning system for both front and rear cameras. It’s the kind of detail you don’t notice until it matters.
Visually, the updates lean sportier. Blacked-out mirrors. 21-inch dual-layer forged wheels. Red brake calipers peeking through. Nine exterior colors round things out, with the Max trim getting a standout Cabrio Blue edition.
Inside, Xiaomi tightens the experience. Dark Night trim becomes standard, joined by layered ambient lighting that feels more lounge than cockpit. The steering wheel gets Nappa leather. Up front, 18-way adjustable seats now offer massage and enhanced side support, while rear passengers get zero-gravity seating—yes, really—and improved headrests. The Max model adds an intelligent dimming panoramic roof, because subtle luxury still sells.

Performance that doesn’t blink
Across all trims sits Xiaomi’s V6s Plus motor, pushing an impressive 94% energy transfer efficiency. The Max variant hits 100 km/h in 3.08 seconds and stretches to a 265 km/h top speed—numbers that edge into serious performance territory.
Range varies depending on flavor: 720 km for Standard, a headline-grabbing 902 km for Pro, and 835 km for Max under CLTC testing. Charging? That’s where things get interesting. Thanks to a silicon carbide high-voltage platform—up to 897V in the Max—you’re looking at as much as 670 km of range added in just 15 minutes. Or a 10–80% top-up in 12. Fast enough to rethink range anxiety entirely.
Underneath, the so-called “Dragon Chassis” combines a double-wishbone front with a five-link rear setup. Pro and Max trims step things up with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC adaptive damping. Grip comes courtesy of 265 mm rear tires across the board.
Then there’s the brain. Xiaomi’s Super XiaoAI system and XLA cognitive model run on a third-gen Snapdragon 8 chip, backed by a 700 TOPS processor. It’s not just fast—it’s evolving. Existing SU7 owners will get these upgrades via OTA, a move that quietly extends the life of earlier cars.
Driver assistance is comprehensive out of the gate with 25 features, while the Max adds serious safety hardware: nine airbags, hot-formed steel reinforcements, integrated roll structures, and even triple-redundant door handles.
And yes, Xiaomi being Xiaomi, there are lifestyle touches. A 4.4-liter smart fridge that cools to -6°C or warms to 50°C. A 14- to 25-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos. Full-stack connectivity with 5G, UWB, and Wi-Fi 7. ETC comes standard. It’s less about ticking boxes and more about building an ecosystem on wheels.
A bigger plan taking shape
The SU7 isn’t standing alone for long. On the same day as this refresh, reports surfaced of the upcoming Xiaomi YU7 GT—a high-performance SUV aiming for up to 990 horsepower and around 705 km of range. If that lands as promised, Xiaomi won’t just be competing. It’ll be crowding the space.
Fifteen thousand cars in half an hour isn’t luck—it’s momentum. And Xiaomi looks like it’s just getting started.

Is this even true? 670 km in 15 min sounds... optimistic. 897V and 700 TOPS look sexy on paper but where's the real world data, battery life, chargers? skeptical

15k orders in 34 min?? lol Xiaomi's flex is unreal. Specs read like sci-fi, hope real world range and charge speed match. If so, game changer
