Oppo Find X9 Ultra Teased Ahead of April Launch

3 Minutes

Something big is coming—and Oppo isn’t being subtle about it.

Ahead of its official debut next month, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra has quietly stepped into the spotlight through an early teaser, hinting at a phone built unapologetically around photography. No exact launch date yet, but April is locked in—and that’s enough to get the rumor mill spinning fast.

The confirmation came straight from Zhuo Shijie, product manager for the Find series, who revealed on Weibo that both the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s Pro will arrive in China within weeks. Alongside that announcement, Oppo slipped in a visual tease—and it’s the kind that says a lot without saying much.

The standout detail? A dedicated camera button, finished with a bold orange accent on the right frame. It’s a small design choice, but it signals intent: this isn’t just another flagship. Oppo wants this phone to feel like a camera first, smartphone second.

Design hints and early reservations tell a bigger story

Pre-reservations are already live on Oppo’s official Chinese store, and with them comes a clearer glimpse at the hardware. The Find X9 Ultra features a prominent circular camera module—large, deliberate, and impossible to ignore. Sitting beside it in the lineup, the Find X9s Pro appears with a more squared-off camera layout, echoing the design language of the earlier Find X9 Pro.

Details on the X9s Pro remain thin, though early whispers suggest it may support 80W wired charging. It’s the Ultra, however, that’s stealing the attention.

Leaks paint a picture of a seriously ambitious camera system: a quad-lens setup led by a 200MP primary sensor, backed by a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, a second 50MP periscope lens capable of 10x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. If accurate, this could be one of the most aggressive camera configurations we’ve seen on a smartphone.

And it doesn’t stop there. The expected 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate suggests a device built for fluid visuals, whether you’re gaming or editing photos on the fly. Under the hood, the rumored Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset points to top-tier performance, while a massive 7,050mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging could address one of the biggest pain points for power users.

There’s still plenty Oppo hasn’t revealed. But from what’s already surfaced, the Find X9 Ultra isn’t chasing trends—it’s trying to dominate a very specific space. And if these early signals hold up, April could bring one of the most camera-focused Android flagships we’ve seen in years.
