Xiaomi has quietly widened its Mijia robot vacuum range with a model that feels built for people who want serious cleaning power without paying premium money. The new Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 4 has now appeared in China, and the pitch is simple enough: strong suction, practical navigation, and a price that does not sting.
The biggest talking point is the 10,000Pa suction rating. That is a hefty figure for a robot vacuum in this class, especially when many modern vacuum-mop hybrids land somewhere between 2,500Pa and 6,000Pa. In plain terms, this should be more than capable of handling daily dust, crumbs, pet hair, and the occasional heavier mess.
Xiaomi has also kept LDS laser navigation on board, which means the robot does not just wander around the house hoping for the best. Instead, it maps rooms and moves in a much more organized way. That usually translates to better coverage and fewer awkward misses around furniture and corners.
The design follows Xiaomi’s usual playbook. Clean. White. Minimal. Nothing flashy. Under the shell, though, there are a few useful details that matter in real homes. The dual-claw anti-tangle brush setup is meant to reduce hair buildup, a welcome touch for households with pets or long hair on the floor.

This is a 2-in-1 cleaner, so it vacuums and mops at the same time. The dustbin holds 520ml, while the water tank is rated at 270ml. Xiaomi says the unit can cover up to 300 square meters in open spaces, although actual results will depend on room layout, obstacles, and how much cleaning is needed.
There are a few other practical touches worth noting. The robot can climb thresholds up to 20mm, which should help it move between rooms with less fuss. Power comes from a 5,200mAh battery, and Xiaomi claims up to 180 minutes of runtime on a single charge.
What stands out most is not some dramatic reinvention of the category. It is the opposite. Xiaomi seems focused on the basics that matter: strong suction, reliable navigation, decent battery life, and a price that stays within reach.
That approach may be exactly why this model will get attention.
As for pricing, the Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 4 is set at 1,443 yuan, which comes out to roughly $200. In some regions, subsidies can bring that down to about 1,299 yuan. Sales in China are scheduled to begin on April 7.
For anyone shopping for a straightforward robot vacuum that can handle both sweeping and mopping without pushing into expensive territory, Xiaomi’s latest release looks like a solid contender.
