Motorola Razr Fold Pre-Orders Open in Europe

Motorola’s first book-style foldable is finally stepping out of the shadows. The Razr Fold is now up for pre-order in the UK and Europe, and while the company has stopped short of pinning down an exact launch day, the timing leaves little room for mystery.

Pre-orders are set to ship from May 6, which strongly suggests that this is when the foldable will officially go on sale in those markets. For now, Motorola is taking orders until May 3, giving early buyers a narrow window to lock one in.

The incentives are hard to ignore. In the UK, customers who pre-order the Razr Fold will get £220 off the asking price, plus a Moto Watch and a pair of Moto Buds Loop earbuds at no extra cost. Europe gets a similar deal, with a €250 discount and the same bundled accessories.

That brings the price down to £1,579.99 in the UK, from the original £1,799.99. In Europe, the foldable drops from €1,999.99 to €1,749.99 with the pre-order savings applied. Not exactly impulse-buy territory. But then again, premium foldables rarely are.

There is one obvious catch. The US still does not have a confirmed release date. Motorola’s American website only offers a notification form for anyone waiting to hear more. So while Europe gets first dibs, US buyers are still stuck in limbo.

The hardware, at least, sounds serious. Motorola is pairing the Razr Fold with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, three 50MP rear cameras, and a hefty 6,000mAh battery. On paper, that is a strong mix of ambition and practicality.

Early hands-on impressions suggest Motorola is aiming squarely at the high end of the foldable market, where design, durability, and battery life matter just as much as raw performance. The Razr Fold is not trying to be subtle. It is trying to make a statement.

“I love exploring gadgets, apps, and trends that redefine how we connect, work, and play in a digital world.”
