Vivo is about to make a very loud statement in the battery race. After days of carefully timed teases, the company has now locked in April 27 as the launch date for the Vivo Y600 Pro, and the first details already paint a clear picture: this phone is built to last.
Huang Tao, vice president of vivo China, has been doing the talking, and endurance sits at the center of the story. The biggest headline is obvious. The Y600 Pro will pack a 10,200mAh battery, the largest ever fitted inside a Vivo smartphone so far. That alone gives the device a clear marketing edge, but Vivo is pushing the angle much further than sheer size.
A battery built for long days and tough conditions
According to Vivo, the Y600 Pro has been designed around five core strengths: long battery life, stable performance in extreme heat, smart power efficiency, long-term battery health, and fast charging. The phone uses second-generation semi-solid battery technology and is said to maintain stable output across a 60°C temperature range. In other words, this is not just about capacity. It is about staying reliable when conditions get rough.
Vivo also says chip-level AI optimization and certified energy efficiency help the phone squeeze more out of every charge, while the battery is engineered to retain healthy performance for up to six years. That is a bold claim, but it speaks to the company’s broader pitch: this is a phone meant for people who do not want to babysit a charger.
Charging should be less painful too. The Y600 Pro supports 90W fast charging, with Vivo claiming a full top-up in under 80 minutes. The company is also promising more than 24 hours of light use and over 12 hours of heavy workload endurance. If those figures hold up in real-world testing, the Y600 Pro could become a serious option for power users, travelers, and anyone tired of mid-day battery anxiety.
Beyond stamina, Vivo is also leaning on a premium design, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, improved connectivity, OriginOS 6, and a 1.5K eye-care display to round out the package.

Leaked specs point to a familiar but capable mid-ranger
Before the official reveal, the Vivo Y600 Pro surfaced in China Telecom’s product listing, which appears to have exposed most of the hardware sheet. The phone is expected to come with a 6.83-inch OLED display carrying a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. That should give it a sharp, vivid panel for streaming, gaming, and everyday use.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. Camera hardware looks straightforward, with a 50-megapixel rear sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Memory options are expected to stretch up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which should be more than enough for most users.
The listing also suggests a phone that is not exactly slim, though that is hardly a surprise given the battery inside. The Y600 Pro is said to measure 8.15mm thick and weigh 221 grams. Other details include an in-display fingerprint sensor and four color choices: Floating Gold, Bright Moon Black, Vast Blue, and Starry Purple.
For now, the China launch appears to be set for April 30, just a few days after the official unveiling. If Vivo’s battery claims translate into real-world performance, the Y600 Pro could stand out in a crowded mid-range market for one simple reason: it refuses to run out of steam.

If Vivo nails this, road trips without a charger... yes please. But 221g is kinda heavy, and 90W in under 80 mins? skeptical but excited, design looks promising tho

10,200mAh? lol sounds wild but is that semi-solid battery safe longterm? 6 years claim seems optimistic, hope it's real tho.
