Honor has refreshed its mid-range laptop lineup for 2026, and the new Notebook X14 Plus and X16 Plus arrive with a familiar promise: more power, better efficiency, and just enough polish to make them look sharper than the competition. At the heart of both machines sits Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325, which Honor says can push performance up to 52W when needed. That is backed by 16GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 7467 MT/s and a 1TB SSD, plus an extra slot for users who want more storage down the line.
Battery life is another headline number. Both laptops carry an 80Wh battery, with Honor claiming up to 14 hours on a charge. A 65W adapter handles recharging, while 60W reverse wired charging is also on board, a handy bonus for topping up phones or accessories when you are away from a wall socket.

Size is where the story splits
The real difference between the two models starts with form factor. The X14 Plus is the more portable option, weighing about 1.27kg and measuring 14.9mm thick. It can be configured with a 14-inch display that reaches 2880 x 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, although Honor will also offer a more basic Full HD version.
The X16 Plus, meanwhile, stretches into more desktop-friendly territory with a 16-inch screen and a slightly heavier 1.64kg frame. Its top display option comes in at 2560 x 1600 with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both laptops use what Honor calls eye-protection LCD panels, which usually means some mix of reduced blue light and flicker control designed to make long sessions easier on the eyes.
Design-wise, the two machines follow the same script. Each uses a metal chassis and keeps the body relatively slim, with the X14 Plus measuring 14.9mm and the X16 Plus coming in at 15.9mm. The keyboards are full-size and backlit, and the larger model gets slightly deeper key travel at 1.6mm, compared with 1.5mm on the smaller version.

Connectivity is practical rather than flashy, which is exactly what many buyers will want. Honor includes two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless support covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and even NFC, which is still a pleasant surprise in a laptop at this price level.
There are a few extra touches too. Both the Notebook X14 Plus and X16 Plus come with dual speakers, dual microphones, a fingerprint reader built into the power button, and a 720p webcam.
Pricing starts at 5,999 yuan, or roughly $878, for the X14 Plus with a Full HD screen. That model goes on sale April 30. A higher-resolution version follows in May at 6,499 yuan, about $952. The X16 Plus begins at 6,199 yuan, around $910, while the higher-end configuration is priced at 6,699 yuan, or roughly $980, and also launches on April 30.
For buyers looking for a thin metal laptop with a large battery, modern Intel silicon, and a choice between compact and big-screen layouts, Honor’s new Notebook X14 Plus and X16 Plus are shaping up to be very straightforward contenders.

Slim, good ports, NFC lol, but only 720p webcam? why cut corners, Honor. Also 65W charging kinda slow for 80Wh, no?

wow, Honor actually packed 52W burst and 80Wh battery in such a thin metal chassis, surprised. 14hrs claim sounds optimistic tho, need real tests, temps? battery drain with 120Hz…
