A stars-and-stripes minivan built in Canada? That is the delicious contradiction at the heart of Chrysler’s new Pacifica America250 Edition, a special-run model launched as part of the celebrations around America’s 250th anniversary.
Stellantis is serving as the official automotive sponsor of America250, and that role is already producing a small wave of commemorative models. Ram went first with a themed 1500, Dodge followed with a special Durango, and now Chrysler has joined in with the only vehicle it has left in its lineup: the Pacifica.
There is no escaping the irony. Chrysler is wrapping its family hauler in patriotic imagery while the minivan itself is assembled north of the US border. Still, the brand is leaning fully into the theme. The Pacifica America250 Edition will be sold exclusively in Red Hot, Bright White, and Hydro Blue, a color trio that leaves little doubt about the visual message.
The changes are mostly cosmetic, but they are easy to spot. Based on the Pacifica Select, this edition adds star decals on the front fascia and front doors, plus flag graphics and America250 badging. Chrysler has also given it a darker, more fashionable look with black trim on the grille, mirror caps, and rear fascia. Black exterior badges and 20-inch Foreshadow-painted wheels complete the package.

Patriotism, stitched into the cabin
Inside, the special edition pushes the theme further without turning the cabin into a parade float. The black leather seats use perforations that reveal blue accents underneath, while Ruby Red contrast stitching adds another layer of color. Up front, embossed American flags on the seats make sure nobody misses the point.
Chrysler also adds Dark Ruby seat belts, Liquid Titanium-finished bezels, and a unique America250 splash screen for the 7-inch driver display. Even the steering wheel gets red, silver, and blue stitching. A branded keychain comes with it too, which feels like a small touch, but exactly the kind of detail limited-edition buyers tend to remember.
Because it starts from the Pacifica Select trim, the equipment list is already solid. Expect an acoustic windshield, power sliding doors, a power liftgate, and rain-sensing wipers. The standard setup should also include a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a six-speaker audio system.
Under the bonnet, nothing changes, and that is probably fine for most buyers. The America250 uses Chrysler’s familiar 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, delivering 287 hp and 355 Nm of torque through a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive remains optional.
Only 2,100 examples will be built, so Chrysler is clearly aiming for scarcity as much as symbolism. Pricing starts at about €43,060, with an additional destination charge of roughly €1,845. That pushes the real entry point to around €44,905. Seen that way, it is not exactly a bargain-bin family van, though the America250 package itself is priced at around €2,770. Buyers who can live without the exterior decals can trim about €460 off the bill.
Orders are open now, and first deliveries are expected this summer. For anyone shopping for a minivan with a heavy dose of Americana and a slightly strange backstory, Chrysler may have just built the most conversation-starting Pacifica yet.

Wow, clever marketing but kinda theatrical. Nice stitching and badges though, if that's real then kudos to the detail ppl, but why only 2,100? weird.

Canada-made Stars n Stripes minivan? so weird... patriotic decals on a foreign-built van, kinda ironic. Who buys that? price seems steep too..
