Big electric MPVs are no longer playing it safe, and the 2026 Zeekr 009 makes that clear from the first glance. Geely’s premium EV brand has launched the updated model in China with a full 900V electrical architecture, a more sophisticated driver assistance package, and a cabin clearly designed to tempt buyers away from traditional luxury people movers.
Pricing starts at about €40,500 and rises to roughly €43,300, putting the new Zeekr 009 in the upper end of the Chinese premium MPV market. The range includes three versions: a single motor 7 seater Ultra at around €40,500, a dual motor 7 seater Ultra+ Qijia Edition at about €42,300, and a dual motor 6 seater Ultra+ Executive Edition at roughly €43,300.
Visually, Zeekr has not torn up the script. The 2026 model keeps the 009’s imposing silhouette, led by its oversized chrome waterfall grille and animated lighting signature. The tweaks are subtle rather than dramatic, but they matter. Revised fog lamp trim sharpens the front end, while six blue auxiliary lights have been added around the body near the daytime running lights, side mirrors, and rear lamps. Their job is simple: they show when the assisted driving system is active, giving the car a more high tech character without changing its core identity.
That tech story runs much deeper than the surface. The new Zeekr 009 is fitted with LiDAR and the Thor U driving assistance chip, which delivers 700 TOPS of computing power. Zeekr says the MPV comes standard with its Qianli Haohan H7 G ASD system, bundling more than 70 active safety functions. Among them are forward collision emergency braking, automatic emergency steering for obstacles, and an SOS emergency stop assist feature. For a vehicle this large, those systems are not just showroom talking points. They are central to how the car will be judged by family buyers and chauffeured users alike.
Where the 009 really makes its case
The dimensions tell you exactly what kind of machine this is. At 5,217 mm long, 2,024 mm wide, and up to 1,818 mm tall, with a 3,205 mm wheelbase, the Zeekr 009 is every bit the full size luxury MPV. It is built to maximize cabin space, and that becomes obvious the moment attention turns inside.
The interior has been thoroughly refreshed. There is a new steering wheel, a crystal style control knob on the centre console, and an overall finish aimed squarely at premium territory. Every seat gets multi way electric adjustment, heating, and ventilation. But the real headline sits in the second row. Zeekr has introduced new dual zero gravity seats with 22 point massage and kneading functions, turning the middle row into the sort of place where long distance travel could feel suspiciously close to a business class lounge.
The seven seat version adds an especially interesting touch with rotating seats that create a face to face seating layout. That one feature alone shifts the atmosphere from ordinary family shuttle to rolling private suite. Overhead, a 17 inch OLED screen drops from the ceiling, while a Naim audio system handles the soundtrack. It is a specification list designed to speak to buyers who care as much about the rear cabin as the driver’s seat.
Underneath, Zeekr is offering both single motor and dual motor setups, and the numbers are anything but timid. The single motor version produces 422 hp and 440 Nm of torque, paired with a 108 kWh ternary lithium battery. Zeekr quotes a CLTC electric range of 740 km.
The dual motor version is on another level altogether. It delivers a combined 925 hp and 913 Nm, using a larger 115 kWh ternary lithium battery for a quoted 720 km CLTC range. That is a serious amount of performance for a luxury MPV, and it underlines how Chinese EV makers continue to blur the line between people carrier, limousine, and high power flagship.
Supporting both versions is the new 900V high voltage platform, one of the update’s most important upgrades. In practical terms, this architecture should improve charging and energy efficiency while keeping the 009 competitive in a market where fast charging has become a major selling point. Zeekr also pairs the powertrain with a closed dual chamber air suspension system, a detail that suggests ride comfort has not been sacrificed in the pursuit of headline specs.
There is another layer to this launch, though. The Zeekr 009 has had an uneven sales story in China. Monthly deliveries hovered around 1,000 units last year, briefly climbing to 4,201 units in November 2024, but have slipped back below 1,000 this year. That makes the 2026 update more than a routine refresh. It feels like a strategic push to give the 009 fresh momentum in a segment that is becoming more crowded and more demanding.
And that may be the real story here. The 2026 Zeekr 009 is not trying to reinvent itself. It is trying to become harder to ignore. With 900V hardware, more visible assisted driving tech, a heavily upgraded cabin, and power figures that border on the absurd for an MPV, it arrives as a sharper, more confident version of an already ambitious electric luxury van.

Wow turning a van into business class seats, love the zero gravity idea! LiDAR + 900V is serious tech, but curious about long term reliability and service costs 😬

This 925 hp MPV tho? Is that for real or just marketing fluff... That range figure sounds optimistic, 720-740km CLTC? hmm
