If your Xiaomi handset pinged for an update this week, there’s a good reason: HyperOS 3.1 is spreading faster than many expected. What began as a China-first rollout in March has morphed into a broad international wave, touching flagships and budget models alike.
Xiaomi originally seeded HyperOS 3.1 to the likes of the Xiaomi 17 and 15 series, several Redmi K-series phones, and a handful of tablets. Back then, global builds were already visible on company servers, a quiet hint that this wasn’t going to stay local. Now that quiet hint has become a visible push: reports show 40 Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices receiving HyperOS 3.1 builds across global, European, and Russian region channels.
This is the widest HyperOS 3.1 rollout outside China to date.

From premium handsets to midrange workhorses
Who’s included? The list mixes high-end cameras and mainstream staples. Top-tier models such as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra are rolling out with global firmware, while many Redmi Note and Poco X series phones are getting their own updates. Expect staged releases: some packages are public, others remain inside Xiaomi’s Mi Pilot testing program before a broader push.

Not every user will see the update right away. Xiaomi tends to stagger releases. That means some owners get the official, public build; others are invited into Mi Pilot, a controlled testing group that helps Xiaomi catch last-minute issues. If you’re impatient, checking your device’s updater won’t hurt. But patience often pays off—wider releases usually follow once feedback from early testers settles in.
For owners, the big questions are practical: battery life, camera tweaks, and whether everyday stability improves. HyperOS 3.1 brings under-the-hood refinements and UI polish rather than headline-grabbing features. In other words: it’s quieter work, but the kind that keeps a phone feeling newer for longer.
Bottom line: if your phone is listed above, watch for the notification. If it isn’t listed yet, Xiaomi’s global cadence suggests more models will join the queue in the coming weeks.
