A mid-range phone slipped onto Samsung's Czech site and suddenly the rumors have something real to bite into. The Galaxy A27 is no stealth flagship, but it brings a handful of sensible upgrades — and a couple of puzzling downgrades.
A few smart swaps and some head-scratchers
Under the hood Samsung swapped the familiar Exynos silicon for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That's a clear pivot for performance and efficiency in this segment. You can choose 6 or 8 GB of RAM, paired with 128 or 256 GB of storage.
The screen reads well on paper: a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel, FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Up front a centered punch-hole holds a 12 MP selfie camera — a small step back from the previous 13 MP sensor, but the cutout looks cleaner and more modern.

Camera specs on the back tell a mixed story. The main sensor is a 50 MP shooter with optical image stabilization, which should help in low light and shaky hands. It is joined by a 5 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro lens. Note this: the ultrawide is lower resolution than the 8 MP module on last year's A26. Odd choice. Two steps forward. One step sideways.

Ingress protection also changed. The A27 carries IP64 splash resistance, while the A26 had a stronger IP67 rating. Battery and charging remain familiar: a 5,000 mAh cell with 25 W wired charging.

Software arrives as One UI 8.5 on Android 16. Samsung promises six Android version updates and six years of security patches. That level of support is becoming a compelling reason to stay in Samsung's mid-range ecosystem.

Color options include black, blue, light green and pink. Storage trims mirror the RAM choices: 128 or 256 GB. Pricing hasn't been confirmed by Samsung yet, but a recent leak suggests the A27 will start at €349 for the 6/128 GB model and rise to €439 for the 8/256 GB variant. Expect official local pricing and availability to appear in the coming days.

So what should buyers take away? If you want a large, vibrant screen, steady main camera and long software support, the A27 is worth a look. If you prize ultrawide resolution or dust-tight waterproofing, this generation asks you to accept a couple of compromises.
