Xiaomi has pushed the Redmi Note 15 family beyond its usual refresh cycle, expanding availability and nudging the hardware forward. The two Pro models — Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro 5G — keep the winning formula intact while delivering larger batteries, subtle chipset bumps and tighter durability.
What’s new in the Note 15 Pro duo?
Battery life takes center stage. The 4G Note 15 Pro packs a 6,500 mAh cell with 45W wired charging, while the Note 15 Pro 5G ups the ante with a 6,580 mAh silicon–carbon battery. Both still cap wired charging at 45W, but reverse wired charging improves: the 5G model can top other devices at 22.5W, and the 4G model manages 18W.

Displays are flat and bright. The Note 15 Pro 5G features a 6.83-inch AMOLED at a 1.5K resolution (2,772 x 1,280) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Pro uses a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ (2,392 x 1,080) at 120Hz. Both panels support 12-bit color and reach up to 3,200 nits peak local brightness; the 5G version also boasts a 480Hz touch sampling rate versus 240Hz on the 4G model.

Audio and protection get attention too. Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos are standard, and ingress protection improves across the board: the Note 15 Pro is now IP65-rated, while the Note 15 Pro 5G carries IP68 plus IP69K — a step up from last year.
Under the hood the changes feel incremental. Xiaomi moved to refreshed MediaTek silicon: the Note 15 Pro runs on the Helio G200-Ultra, and the Note 15 Pro 5G uses the Dimensity 7400-Ultra. Expect modest CPU clock increases and NPU gains rather than sweeping platform overhauls. Memory and storage choices include 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Camera hardware keeps the headline 200MP sensor (ISOCELL S5KHPE) for both phones. The ultrawide differs: the 5G model uses an 8MP OV08F10, while the 4G model has an 8MP GC08A8. Selfie systems are not identical either — 32MP front camera on the Note 15 Pro versus a 20MP shooter on the 5G variant.
Software is current: both phones ship with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, and include Xiaomi’s AI toolkit — tools like AI Erase Pro, AI Remove Reflection, AI Image Expansion and other image enhancement features that aim to lift everyday photography.

Color and pricing details are straightforward. The Note 15 Pro arrives in Titanium, Glacier Blue and Black, starting at €349/£249 for the 8/256GB model. The Note 15 Pro 5G adds a Mist Purple option and starts at €399/£349 for 8/256GB, with an 8/512GB trim listed at €429/£399. Pre-orders are expected to begin on January 5.
It’s not a revolution, but the Note 15 Pro pair refines what already worked — more battery, improved durability and a few spec boosts that matter in daily use. If you value long runtime and a bright, smooth screen without breaking the bank, these models deserve a look.

is that IP69K on a midranger for real? sounds great but Xiaomi usually trims elsewhere. curious about night camera shots

Wow didn’t expect that battery jump, nice! But 45W cap feels stingy for such huge cells... still tempted tho, sigh
