Xiaomi has quietly listed the Home Screen 11 on JD.com, teasing what it calls the most capable smart display in its lineup. With an 11-inch 1200p screen, HyperOS 3 software and hub-grade smart home features, this tabletop display looks aimed at living rooms that want a mix of media, smart controls and privacy-first design.
What sets it apart
The Home Screen 11 sports a 1920×1200 (16:10) panel that hits around 400 nits peak brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio, plus TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification to ease eye strain during longer viewing sessions. Xiaomi has baked in dynamic magazine-style screensavers, family photo albums and classic artwork modes so the device doubles as a tasteful digital frame when idle.
Under the hood the device uses an octa-core chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and it runs Xiaomi’s updated HyperOS 3. That software promises snappier responses and faster voice wake-ups for Xiao Ai, making multi-step voice routines and device checks feel more fluid. Far-field microphones are included for hands-free control from across the room.

Design, audio and privacy
Xiaomi trimmed the overall volume of the unit with a metal unibody frame and a rear-facing speaker layout, claiming a more than 35% reduction in body volume vs the previous generation. The housing features a fabric speaker grille and curved corners so it fits naturally into modern interiors, while the stand supports continuous tilt adjustment from 0° to 60°.
- Display: 11-inch, 1920×1200 (16:10), 400 nits, TÜV low blue light
- Performance: octa-core CPU, 6GB RAM, 32GB storage
- Audio: four drivers with separate chambers for clearer vocals and stereo separation
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi‑Fi (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth Mesh, Xiaomi Mesh 2.0, infrared
- Camera & privacy: 8MP front camera, physical privacy shutter, EAL5+ security chip
- Power: wired-only, no internal battery
On the audio side, Xiaomi uses a four-driver layout with independent chambers to keep highs and mids separate from low frequencies, which should improve clarity for music, videos and voice calls. The 8MP front camera supports high-definition video calls and includes a physical cover for privacy-conscious users; an EAL5+ certified security chip provides an added layer of protection for credentials and local data.

As a smart home hub the Home Screen 11 supports Bluetooth Mesh, Xiaomi Mesh 2.0 and infrared control, making it broadly compatible with Xiaomi-branded devices and many third-party gadgets via the Mi Home app. Since the unit relies on mains power rather than a battery, it’s positioned as a stationary hub designed for continuous operation.
Xiaomi is expected to officially launch the Home Screen 11 alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and other upcoming products next week. The reveal follows a busy period for Xiaomi, which recently launched a 10,000-lumen ceiling light with HyperOS support and a Mijia Washer Dryer Set Pro running HyperOS.

Sounds promising, but is Xiaomi still patching privacy holes? 8MP cam and far-field mics ok, yet EAL5+ chip means what in practice? anyone tested similar devices?

Wow this looks slick, privacy shutter + EAL5+ chip is a big plus. 11-inch 1200p and 400 nits make it a nice digital frame, but wired only? limits placement. If Xiao Ai actually wakes up fast then could be worth it…
