Xiaomi has unveiled the Buds 6, a flagship-oriented pair of semi-in-ear true wireless earbuds that balance comfort with high-res audio. Priced at 699 yuan (about 99 USD), the new model brings gold-plated diaphragms, Harman tuning, active noise cancellation, and a long-lasting charging case into a compact package.
Comfort-first design for long listening sessions
The Buds 6 adopt a lightweight semi-in-ear form with each bud weighing roughly 4.4 grams. Xiaomi uses a biomimetic curved shape to reduce pressure points: the stem is 12% narrower, the sound nozzle 11.3% thinner, and the contact area has grown by 8.8% to spread force more evenly across the ear. The result is a snug, low-fatigue fit aimed at users who wear earbuds for hours at a time.
The pebble-shaped charging case slips easily into a pocket, while color options like Nebula Purple, Pearl White, Titanium Gold, and Moon Shadow Black give buyers a choice of subtle or statement finishes. The Nebula Purple model adds a reflective coating for a premium touch.

High-end audio and modern features
At the heart of the Buds 6 is a custom triple-magnet dynamic driver with a 24K gold-plated diaphragm. Xiaomi says this design boosts low-frequency sensitivity by 40% and high-frequency responsiveness by 30%, covering a wide 16Hz to 40kHz range. Sound tuning comes from Harman's Golden Ear team and includes Harman AudioEFX for clearer vocals plus a Master mode that deepens bass and warms the overall tonality. Users can also access EQ presets and fine-tune settings via the Xiaomi Earbuds app.
Connectivity and codecs are competitive: up to 24-bit/48kHz audio at 2.1 Mbps and support for SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless, along with Snapdragon Sound and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications.

Active noise cancellation is paired with a three-microphone AI noise reduction system designed to cope with wind up to 12 m/s. Spatial audio with built-in head tracking creates a more immersive soundstage without extra hardware. Recording features include independent capture from the earbuds or case, plus real-time transcription, AI summaries, and face-to-face translation when connected to compatible Xiaomi devices. Location tracking works with Xiaomi Find and Apple Find My.
