Honor’s next mid-range contender, the Power 2, is already turning heads — but not just for its giant battery and performance chops. Early leaks show a design that looks strikingly familiar, borrowing visual cues from Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro while packing hardware aimed at long runtimes and solid everyday performance.
Familiar looks, heavy hardware
Leaked photos shared on Weibo by a tipster known as PandaIsBald reveal a phone with a panned triple-camera island very reminiscent of Apple’s recent Pro iPhones. The LED cutout sits to the left, and the showy hero color appears to be Orange — a shade Apple has promoted on the latest Pro models. Honor is also said to offer Black and White options.
Beyond the visuals, the Power 2 isn’t shy on specs. Rumors point to a 6.79-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, a 50MP main rear sensor and a 16MP front camera. The battery is headline-grabbing: around 10,080mAh, a niche but growing trend for phones built to last days rather than hours.

Under the hood the Power 2 is expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 paired with 12GB of RAM and Magic OS 10 based on Android 16. That chip is cropping up across multiple new mid-range phones — Redmi Turbo 5, Poco X8 Pro and Realme Neo 8 SE have all been linked to it — with the Turbo 5 reportedly first to ship in China and the Poco X8 Pro serving as a global counterpart.
Meanwhile, Honor’s Win series — the performance-focused Win and Win RT powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and featuring a 10,000mAh cell — is slated to land in China today. The Power 2 looks set for January, slotting into a slightly different niche: mid-range cost with battery endurance as its standout feature.

Is it a problem that Honor leans on Apple’s design language? Chinese brands have long taken stylistic inspiration from flagship iPhones — Xiaomi 17 is a recent example — so the copycat charge is familiar territory. For buyers who prioritize battery life and a large screen over original aesthetics, the Power 2 could still be an appealing choice. For those chasing fresh design, the resemblance may feel uninspired.
Watch for Honor’s official announcement in January for confirmation of pricing, regional availability and any last-minute design or spec changes. If the leaks hold true, the Power 2 will offer an unusual blend: iPhone-like looks, a MediaTek heart, and one of the largest batteries you’ll find outside specialized models.
