Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports Apple will launch a HomePod with a screen, code-named J490 and often called the HomePad, on October 13.
Gurman says the device is "at the center" of Apple's smart-home strategy.
He also reports Apple will release an updated HomePod mini and a new Apple TV 4K alongside the HomePad. The HomePod mini's predecessor dates from 2020 and the current Apple TV 4K is from 2022.
All three devices will support the new Siri AI, Gurman writes.
The HomePad will have a 6-inch display that can be wall-mounted or placed on a countertop, according to Gurman. The screen is "about as thick as an iPhone" and has bezels similar to older iPads.

The device will sit on a round metal base that houses speakers and microphones and use a metal arm to hold the screen and allow tilting. A wall-mounted version will use a thinner base for speakers and mics.
Gurman says the HomePad will use USB-C for power, will not include a battery, and will likely be offered only in "Apple's standard gray aluminum finish".
Apps on the display will resemble iPad apps, with two-panel layouts for apps such as Messages. The HomePad will manage other smart devices, make video calls, play music, show photo slideshows, and support intercom-style calls, Gurman reports.
Gurman adds the device will include voice and facial recognition to identify users.
The images discussed are concept renders rather than leaked photos, according to the report.
