Kia Australia has published local pricing for the all-new 2027 Seltos ahead of the model reaching dealers this month, confirming six grades and a hybrid-only drivetrain for the market. The range opens with the S at a drive-away price of AU$39,990, equaling US$27,740 at the current exchange rate, and progresses through S with Safety Pack from AU$42,490 (US$29,475), Sport from AU$43,990 (US$30,515) and Sport+ from AU$46,990 (US$32,595).
Above those sits the GT-Line from AU$52,990 (US$36,760), with the sole all-wheel drive offering the range-topping GT-Line AWD priced from AU$55,490 (US$38,490), according to Kia Australia. All Australian Seltos models are offered as hybrids only and, except for the GT-Line AWD, are front-wheel drive.
Kia specifies the Australian Seltos uses a 1.6-litre self-charging hybrid powertrain paired with a six-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. The company has not published power or torque figures for the Australian model; Kia says those details will follow at a later date.

The local press release also omits a full breakdown of equipment by trim. Kia Australia’s website currently lists the grades and prices but does not provide detailed specification sheets, leaving standard and optional equipment for each grade unspecified in the public materials.
How this compares with the United States Seltos
The Seltos sold in the United States differs in powertrains and specification. The second-generation model, which was unveiled at the end of 2025 and entered production shortly afterwards, has a US entry price of $24,990 (equal to AU$36,202) for the base LX with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder rated at 147 hp (149 ps/110 kW) and 132 pound-feet (180 Nm) of torque, routed through an intelligent variable transmission to the front axle. All-wheel drive is available in the US as a $1,700 option (AU$2,450).
US equipment highlights listed for the 2027 Seltos include 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and DRLs, a SynTex-wrapped steering wheel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone integration, smart key with push-button start and four USB ports. The US lineup also shows higher trims and an X-Line variant with an optional 1.6-litre turbocharged engine rated at 190 hp (193 ps/142 kW) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm), paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive on that trim. Kia says a hybrid variant will join the US lineup later in the year.

The second-generation Seltos was launched simultaneously in several markets at the end of 2025 and is built in South Korea, China and India. The model shares its underpinnings with Hyundai models including the Kona and with other group cars such as the i20, Elantra, Kia Niro, K3 and K4.
Kia Australia has confirmed local prices and that the 2027 Seltos will be offered only as a self-charging hybrid, while technical output figures and full trim equipment lists remain unavailable.

Is Kia holding back specs on purpose? Price gap to US is weird, AWD only on top trim? kinda annoying, need hard numbers asap.
wow, hybrid only in Aus? kinda shocked. Prices ok but no power or spec sheet, feels half baked. curious about real mpg and punch
