When a pop-maker meets speaker design

These two Bluetooth portables were developed with will.i.am, who lent his ear to tuning and the kind of stage-ready personality many casual listeners want at home. But this is not just celebrity branding. LG built in on-device smarts that try to understand what you’re playing and where you’re playing it.

AI Sound evaluates whether a track is vocal-led, rhythm-heavy or melody-focused, then tweaks the output so voices punch through or drums land harder. AI Calibration listens to room acoustics and reshapes the sound profile to suit the surroundings. AI Lighting syncs built-in LEDs to the music, turning beats into motion. Want multiple speakers to play the same source? Both models support LE Audio Auracast so compatible xboom units can join in.

The Bounce is the flagship. Think dual dome tweeters, a track-type woofer and passive radiators that visibly move with the music. It carries IP67 water and dust resistance, meets MIL-STD 810G durability, and promises up to 30 hours of battery life. Robust and room-filling, it’s aimed at people who want performance without lugging a heavy setup.

The Grab keeps things compact and tossed-in-the-bag friendly. It uses dual passive radiators to beef up bass, offers versatile straps for carrying, matches the Bounce for IP67 and MIL-STD 810G toughness, and lasts up to 20 hours between charges. Outdoors or in transit, it’s the smaller, livelier partner.

LG has rolled these out for the Indian market first, with sales slated through its official website and authorised retailers. Price details are still pending, and LG says more information will follow soon.
