A new report says Meta is developing a pair of smart glasses that omit a camera. The device, reportedly called Luna, is expected to be unveiled at Meta's annual developer conference on September 23 and 24, 2026, and then ship in October.

Meta's smart glasses have been quite successful so far, the report notes, but the company appears to be moving to serve people who do not want a camera on their face. Luna is being positioned as a camera-free alternative in that lineup.

The glasses are said to include six built-in microphones and speakers routed toward the wearerâs ears. Meta AI will be integrated on the device, allowing users to speak to the assistant, and a physical button on the side will provide quick access to the AI.

Details beyond those specifications remain limited and unconfirmed. If the timeline in the report holds, attendees at the September 23 and 24 developer conference will see Luna ahead of a wider shipping window in October.
