The nubia NaviX Ultra is official, pairing nubia's Doubao Mobile Assistant — described as an agentic, multi-modal AI — with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The launch centers on the phone's on-device AI controls and integrations alongside flagship hardware.
Doubao Mobile Assistant: agentic features and controls
Doubao is presented as an agentic mobile assistant that supports deep reasoning, self-correction, extended-context adherence and generalization. The announcement defines deep reasoning as the ability to create a plan that splits a complex task into simpler sub-tasks. Self-correction lets the AI recover a task that runs into unexpected problems. Extended-context adherence is intended to keep Doubao on track during long tasks. Generalization enables the assistant to apply knowledge from one app to tackle previously unseen problems.

The phone designates a fingerprint-equipped button as the AI key: a tap opens a prompt window, a long press activates voice command mode and a double tap starts a 'video call' with the AI so the assistant can inspect visuals from the phone's cameras. Doubao is multi-modal and can handle text, images, audio and video.

nubia also ships a continuous dialogue mode, currently in beta, for more back-and-forth conversations on complex tasks. For long-running jobs, a widget tracks task progress. The assistant can reorder work intelligently for queued tasks, and users can manually assign priority to important items.

Doubao integrates with third-party apps and can call the APIs of online services, including Lark and CaoCao Mobility, the phone's map app and online music services. nubia says the AI can handle incoming calls (including following response scripts), transcribe voice notes, search screenshots, recognize products on-screen and more.
