OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus 16 will support a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate, the company said in a Weibo post that also teased the phone's launch in China.
The same post confirmed the handset will run Android 17 based ColorOS 17. OnePlus did not provide a launch date; earlier leaks have pointed to an October unveiling.
The 165Hz confirmation matches prior reports that the phone would use a 165Hz display, though a more recent leak claimed the OnePlus 16 could instead ship with a 185Hz AMOLED panel.

Certifications and reported specifications
A device believed to be the OnePlus 16 was listed on China’s 3C certification site, with the listing indicating support for 100W wired charging. That listing is the clearest third-party confirmation so far of the phone's charging capability.

Separately, leaks circulating online have attributed a 200MP primary rear camera, the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, and a 9,000mAh battery to the OnePlus 16. OnePlus has not confirmed these additional specifications.
OnePlus has not disclosed pricing or firm timing for the OnePlus 16; the company’s Weibo teaser offered only a near-term launch hint for China.
