Toyota's Sienna climbed to 29,518 deliveries in Q3 2026, a jump that Toyota calls a record third-quarter performance and which accounted for nearly 45 percent of the segment's quarterly increase.
The United States minivan market strengthened in the third quarter, with the four core nameplates—Chrysler Pacifica, Toyota Sienna, Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey—delivering 108,621 sales nationwide. That total is 14.9 percent higher than the 94,511 units sold in Q3 2025, and every nameplate posted a year-over-year gain.

Chrysler's aging Pacifica remains the segment leader for the quarter with 34,491 deliveries, up 6 percent from 32,417 in Q3 2025, and Stellantis reports 101,611 Pacifica sales through the first nine months of 2026.
Model-by-model moves
The Sienna supplied the biggest contribution to the quarter's growth, rising to 29,518 units from 23,114 in Q3 2025. Toyota identifies that performance as a record third quarter in the US market. Together with the Odyssey and Carnival, the four nameplates added 14,110 sales year over year in Q3 2026.

Kia's Carnival recorded the second-largest quarterly gain, reaching 21,472 deliveries compared with 18,053 in Q3 2025. Carnival sales are 61,840 through September, up 20.2 percent from 51,205 a year earlier. Kia America highlighted that Carnival Hybrid sales rose 47 percent year over year, and that hybrid and electrified sales set September and quarterly records for the brand, contributing to Kia's best-ever September and quarter.

Honda reported a sharp September upswing for the Odyssey, logging 9,012 sales in the month versus 5,416 a year earlier and saying its light-truck business had its best September ever. Including the Odyssey, Honda dealers delivered 76,997 light trucks in September. Despite that monthly spike, Honda shows a 7.0 percent year-to-date contraction for the Odyssey.
Breakdowns from the quarter show the Sienna supplied nearly 45 percent of the total increase, with the Carnival adding 3,419 units, the Odyssey 2,213 and the Pacifica 2,074.

Year-to-date totals and market context
Through September 2026 the four core minivan nameplates have combined for 313,907 sales, up from 288,214 in the same nine-month period of 2025, an 8.9 percent increase. By brand, Carnival is up 20.2 percent year to date, Pacifica 12.7 percent and the hybrid-only Sienna 11.7 percent, while the Odyssey is the only model trailing its 2025 pace.
Although the minivan segment remains small relative to crossover and SUV markets, Q3 2026 was a broadly solid quarter with clear momentum for the Sienna and Carnival and a narrowing gap behind the Pacifica.
