ETNews reports Samsung will rebrand its television range into three AI-branded tiers: AI TV Basic, AI TV Plus and AI TV Ultra. The report says Samsung plans to end QLED mass production in 2027 and shift TV revenue toward AI-based subscription services.
Samsung currently sells Crystal UHD, Mini LED, QLED, Neo QLED, OLED, Micro RGB and Micro LED models.
According to ETNews, AI TV Ultra models will use premium displays including Micro RGB and OLED, while AI TV Basic will use Mini LED technology. Crystal UHD will remain a separate line and represent Samsung's most affordable TVs.

ETNews adds Samsung intends to transition more production to Mini LED and Micro LED as it phases out QLED.
The company reportedly aims to restructure TV revenue away from hardware profit margins and toward AI-powered subscription services.
Samsung hopes to increase TV shipments from 35 million units in 2026 to over 40 million in 2027.
Generative AI emerged in late 2022, and Samsung began emphasising AI across products with the Galaxy S24 series.
It remains to be seen how many consumers will pay for AI-powered features and services; ETNews is the source for these reports.
