Samsung rolls out stable One UI 9 to Galaxy S25 and Z7

Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 9 update, built on Android 17, to its 2025 flagship phones. Notices for the Galaxy S25 family appeared in South Korea on 28 September 2026, and stable builds have moved out of beta for Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 users.

Users of the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra in South Korea reported receiving the notification for the stable One UI 9 update, including devices that were not part of the beta program. Samsung previously rolled One UI 9 to the S26 series, with the S26 update reaching South Korea on 16 September and the United States on 23 September. If Samsung follows the same schedule, users in the US should begin seeing the S25 notification next week.

Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 beta installs moving to stable

People who installed the One UI 9 beta on Galaxy Z Fold7 or Z Flip7 devices are now being offered the stable release. It is not confirmed whether the Z Flip7 FE is included in this initial stable push. Samsung says the stable build will reach users who did not participate in beta testing in due course.

Build numbers, download sizes and timing details

Tracker Tarun Vats reports the following build information and file sizes for the initial stable rollouts:

• Galaxy S25 series: build S938NKSUCDZIF, approximately a 3.9 GB download.
• Galaxy Z Fold7/Z Flip7: build F966NKSUCCZIH, approximately a 500 MB download for users installing from the One UI 9 beta.
• Users updating directly from One UI 8.5 should expect a larger download than the beta-to-stable install size.

Samsung Thailand’s press release set the rollout date for the Galaxy S25 and Z7 series as 28 September. The same release originally indicated the Galaxy S23 FE would receive One UI 9 by October, but that phrasing was later changed to read that S23 FE and related S23 models will receive the update “later this year.”
