The 2027 BMW M350 xDrive leads BMW's eighth-generation 3 Series with a 437 hp gasoline powertrain that delivers 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) and a claimed 0 to 60 mph time of 3.9 seconds, while BMW says the car can engage a new rear-wheel-drive "Drift Moment" mode.
This release marks the wider arrival of the 3 Series in BMW's Neue Klasse era, presented alongside the fully electric BMW i3 Sedan. BMW continues to position the i3 50 xDrive as the flagship, with dual motors producing 463 hp and an estimated range of up to 468 miles (753 km) on a single charge. BMW also cites 400 kW DC fast charging on the i3 50 xDrive, able to add up to 208 miles (335 km) in about ten minutes.

U.S. lineup and pricing
In the United States BMW will offer the 2027 330 with or without xDrive and the 2027 M350 xDrive, while the company will sell only the top i3 50 xDrive EV. U.S. pricing starts at $49,900 for the rear-wheel-drive 2027 330; xDrive all-wheel drive adds $2,000, and the M350 xDrive carries a starting MSRP of $65,900. The 2027 i3 50 xDrive is listed from $61,500. All prices require an additional $1,350 destination and handling charge.

Powertrains, performance and packaging
Gasoline 3 Series models employ 48V mild-hybrid technology across the range. The base 2027 330 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four rated at 255 hp and BMW claims a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.5 seconds. The M350 xDrive replaces the previous nomenclature by dropping the "i" from gasoline models to avoid confusion with the i3 EV, and BMW describes the M350 as its most powerful M Performance 3 Series variant to date. Both gasoline models use an eight-speed automatic transmission and top speed is limited to 155 mph or 250 kph.

The Neue Klasse design language narrows the visual distinction between the ICE and EV 3 Series; the gasoline models retain a physical grille and offer optional yellow M lights in the headlamp cluster. Inside the ICE 3 Series, BMW fits the same cockpit introduced on the i3 with BMW Panoramic iDrive, an AI assistant integrated with Amazon Alexa, and the centered 17.9-inch iDrive trapezoidal display seen on the i3, iX3, X5 and 7 Series, though the larger models' passenger screen is not included.
All U.S. prices noted above exclude the $1,350 destination and handling fee.
