Xiaomi has added another quietly practical gadget to its expanding home lineup, and this one is aimed squarely at people who want comfort without watching the power meter spin. The new Mijia Super Energy-Saving 2026 Model, a 1HP air conditioner, is now on sale in China through JD.com for 1,699 yuan, or about $249.
At first glance, it looks exactly like the kind of appliance Xiaomi likes to make: clean white lines, a minimal finish, and a design that blends into the room instead of demanding attention. The real story, though, sits inside the unit. This is an inverter air conditioner built for both cooling and heating, which means it is designed to handle summer heat and winter chill with the same setup.
Built for lower bills and longer seasons
Xiaomi says the Mijia Super Energy-Saving 2026 Model carries an annual performance factor of 5.45, putting it in the top energy efficiency tier under China’s latest standards. That matters because efficiency is no longer just a nice bonus. For many households, it is the difference between running the AC freely and treating every degree like a luxury.
Helping with that is Xiaomi’s Lingyun intelligent energy-saving algorithm, which the company says reduces electricity use compared with less efficient systems. Under the hood, the air conditioner uses a 9.8cc compressor. Cooling output is rated at 2,670W, with a range from 150W to 4,650W, while heating is rated at 4,570W and can peak at 6,100W. There is also a 1,050W PTC auxiliary heater for extra warmth when temperatures drop.

Air circulation is another area where Xiaomi has clearly paid attention. The unit uses a cross-flow fan rated at 740m³/h, along with vertical and horizontal swing support to spread air more evenly across a room. To avoid that unpleasant blast of cold air that many people know too well, the AC includes upper and lower airflow management for a softer, more balanced feel.
Comfort is only part of the pitch. Xiaomi has also added self-cleaning functions for both the indoor and outdoor units, designed to reduce bacterial buildup and keep the system cleaner over time. There are intelligent maintenance reminders too, including clogging alerts and deep-cleaning prompts, which should help users stay on top of upkeep without much effort.
Smart home support is built in as well. The air conditioner works with HyperOS Connect and the Mijia app, enabling AI-based automation, cloud remote maintenance, and OTA software updates. In other words, it is meant to be more than just a box that cools a room. It is part of Xiaomi’s connected home ecosystem.
Noise levels have also been tuned with quieter spaces in mind. The indoor unit can run at just 18dB(A) on its lowest setting, while higher operation stays within 40dB(A). The outdoor unit reaches around 50dB(A), which should keep it relatively restrained by the standards of this category.
As for the hardware itself, the indoor unit measures 795 x 310 x 205 mm and weighs 9.5 kg. The outdoor unit comes in at 813 x 560 x 311 mm and weighs 22 kg.
Xiaomi has been on a busy product streak lately. Alongside this air conditioner, the company recently unveiled a hair dryer with nano water ion technology and smart scalp protection, as well as the Mijia Titanium Thermos Cup Ti2 in a Moonlight Silver finish. Small appliances, big ambitions. That is very much the Xiaomi playbook.

Sounds decent on paper, but 18dB indoor seems suspiciously low. Anyone tried it IRL? Could be a bit of marketing spin.
