Xiaomi has unveiled a new flagship central air conditioner under its Mijia smart-home brand, promising rapid cooling, robust performance in extreme temperatures, and deep ties to smart-home ecosystems. The Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel is the company’s first factory-designed central AC and targets larger homes that need powerful, efficient climate control.
Big power, fast cooling, and smart integration
Available in standard and dual-outlet versions, the system is offered in capacities from 5 to 8 horsepower and is built for homes between roughly 120 and 190 square meters. It supports flexible indoor-unit layouts such as 1-to-4, 1-to-5, and 1-to-6, making it suitable for multi-room installations. The top-tier 8HP model uses a dual-outlet design to distribute airflow both upward and downward for more even temperature delivery.
Under the hood, Xiaomi equips the unit with a two-cylinder vapor-injection compressor and three-row condenser and evaporator coils, enabling stable operation across an extreme range from −35°C to +65°C. That means the system can still provide heating at −30°C and maintain strong cooling performance when outdoor temperatures exceed 40°C.

One headline stat is the unit’s dual 556mm air wheel driven by two 200W motors, producing up to 7,008 m³/h of airflow. Xiaomi says that airflow is powerful enough to cool an entire living room in about five minutes — a claim aimed squarely at buyers who want nearly instant comfort on hot days.
Energy efficiency is a key selling point: the 8HP variant achieves an APF of 5.40, placing it in China’s top energy-efficiency band. Xiaomi also highlights a very low-frequency operation down to 6Hz, which the company estimates reduces overnight power draw to about 2.5 kWh for a typical bedroom.
The package includes a 10-inch smart control panel that integrates with air purifiers, humidifiers and fresh-air systems. The panel can automatically adjust operations based on indoor PM2.5, CO2 and humidity readings, so the AC not only cools but also helps maintain indoor air quality.
Pricing is positioned at the premium end: the standard 5HP model for up to four rooms is priced around $3,639, the 6HP models are about $3,919 and $4,619 for different builds, while the flagship 8HP dual-outlet unit carries a $7,279 price tag.
For homeowners seeking fast cooling, smart controls and a system that copes with harsh climates, Xiaomi’s Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro looks designed to compete with established HVAC brands while leaning on smart-home advantages to differentiate itself.
