Apple confirmed an October 13 event with the tagline 'Welcome home'.

The company posted a short teaser on October 8 that points to a dedicated smart home announcement. The post shared by Greg Joswiak reads: Welcome home. October 13. https://t.co/ChelGSDOTI - Greg Joswiak (@gregjoz) October 8, 2026.

The confirmation follows a late-September rumor that Apple would unveil three smart home products: a HomePad or Home Hub, a HomePod mini 2, and a new Apple TV 4K box. All three are expected to support the company's new Siri AI, according to the reports that surfaced last month.

The device variously referred to as HomePad or Home Hub is said to feature a 6" square display and to ship in two versions: one designed for a desk or countertop and a second intended for wall mounting. Its base will have a built-in speaker, and the screen will be held up by a metal arm.

The HomePod mini 2 and a refreshed Apple TV 4K have both been long anticipated. The original HomePod mini launched in 2020, and the current Apple TV 4K model dates to 2022.
