The BMW iX3 M60 debuts with a dual-motor powertrain rated at 603 hp and 875 Nm, a clear performance leap for the iX3 line and the central change in BMW's new M Performance SUV.
BMW says production of the 2027 iX3 M60 will begin in spring 2027 and that the order process opens from late Dey. The M60 is built around a sixth-generation M eDrive architecture with one electric motor per axle; the rear motor is a synchronous design mated to an upgraded 420 amp inverter intended to deliver instantaneous torque to the wheels.

Powertrain and performance
BMW lists the iX3 M60's key performance figures as 603 hp, 875 Nm of torque, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a governed top speed of 240 km/h. The car uses a 112.2 kWh net battery. An official EPA range has not been published; BMW's US-standard figure for the base iX3 is 698 km, and the manufacturer expects the higher-output M60 to record a modest reduction versus that number.

The M60 introduces a new processing module called Heart of Joy that BMW says accelerates processing of driving inputs up to 10 times versus prior generations. Working with BMW M Dynamic Performance Control, that processing unit coordinates power delivery, braking, steering and regenerative energy recovery to keep systems synchronized under demanding use.
Regenerative braking handles most everyday deceleration, and BMW highlights a Soft Stop function that uses regen to bring the car to rest smoothly without abrupt mechanical braking. The steering wheel carries dedicated Boost and M Mode buttons for instant access to M Sport and M Sport Plus settings.

Chassis, exterior and interior
Standard chassis kit on the iX3 M60 includes Adaptive M Suspension with electronically controlled dampers, M variable-ratio sport steering, an M Sport electronic rear differential, tuned springs and dampers for improved body control, revised anti-roll bars and strengthened front subframe connections. Standard wheels are 21-inch alloys, with optional 22-inch aerodynamic wheels available.

Visually the M60 is distinguished by an M Sport body package and a standard BMW Iconic Glow illuminated grille element. Optional yellow headlights inspired by endurance racing are offered and the front lighting signature echoes BMW M's three-stripe motif.

Inside, the iX3 M60 ships with BMW Operating System X. A 17.9-inch touchscreen angled toward the driver sits on the dash while BMW Panoramic Vision projects key information onto the lower section of the windshield. M sport seats are electrically adjustable in 10 ways with lumbar support, adjustable bolster width and an integrated massage function. Standard trim combines vegan synthetic leather labeled VeganZ with M PerformTex fabric, with bespoke luxury leather available to order.

Audio is a Harman Kardon system with 13 speakers, 430 watts and Dolby Atmos support.
BMW has not announced pricing for the iX3 M60.
BMW positions the iX3 M60 as an M Performance SUV that, by combining a high-output electric drivetrain and chassis upgrades, narrows the gap BMW describes between conventional family SUVs and high-performance sports cars.

Whoa 603 hp?! That's insane, BMW really went full send on the iX3. 3.9s in an SUV... can't wait to hear that whine if it's real lol 🔥
