CGI Kia Seltos N Shows Aggressive N-Style Makeover

A fan-made CGI of the 2027 Kia Seltos rendered in Hyundai N light-blue paint, with oversized air intakes, a deep apron and a dramatically lowered stance imagines what a high-performance Seltos could look like.

Kia has not announced any plans for a factory Seltos N. The images, credited to Instagram user @zephyr_designz, are speculative visualizations rather than an announcement from the manufacturer.

Design and interior

The CGI Seltos adopts many of the visual cues associated with Hyundai N models: a reworked grille, a much more aggressive front bumper with large, redesigned air intakes, sharp front apron details and new wheel arch trim. Side skirts, a double-bubble roof-mounted spoiler, a revised rear bumper, a pronounced diffuser and new tailpipe trim complete the exterior treatment. The rendering sits on large wheels and a very low ride height, implying a reworked suspension and uprated brakes to match the imagined extra performance. The designer uses Hyundai N light-blue paint paired with extensive black trim on the pillars and roof, but the images do not carry N badging; the N suffix remains a Hyundai performance badge.

Interior details in the concept include a pair of bucket seats up front, a sport steering wheel, carbon-like trim, exclusive upholstery with contrasting stitching and bespoke loading screens and sub-menus for the two main displays. These cabin changes are visual speculation and have not been confirmed by Kia.

Powertrains, production and pricing

The production second-generation Seltos has been on sale as a 2027 model after assembly began at the end of 2025. Assembly takes place in China, India and South Korea. The Seltos rides on the Hyundai-Kia P2 platform, described as a third-generation architecture, shared with the Hyundai Kona and other models including Accent / Verna, i2, Elantra / Avante / i30 Sedan, and the Kia Niro, K3 and K4. Depending on market, the new Seltos is offered with up to four gasoline powertrains and one four-cylinder diesel, and transmissions vary by assembly location, including a six-speed manual, two dual-clutch units with six and seven gears, an eight-speed automatic and a CVT. Configurations are offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on the spec.

In the United States the Seltos base powertrain is a 2.0-liter engine rated at 147 bhp (149 ps / 110 kW) and 132 lb-ft (179 Nm) of torque, driving the front wheels through an intelligent variable transmission as standard; all-wheel drive is optional for an additional 1,700 USD. The top grade uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged unit producing 190 hp (193 ps / 142 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD.

U.S. pricing for the 2027 Seltos starts at 24,990 USD for the LX, followed by the S at 26,390 USD and the EX at 28,390 USD. The X-Line S is priced at 28,990 USD and the range-topping X-Line SX, which includes the 1.6-liter turbo, starts at 32,790 USD. Any hypothetical factory Seltos badged and equipped as an N model would likely command a premium above the current range-topper, but Kia has made no announcement to that effect.
