Live Mate 90 Photos and Brief Huawei Launch Page Leak

Huawei briefly posted a page on its official Chinese site that listed an October 1 launch date for the Mate 90 series, then took the page down shortly afterward, according to screenshots and captures shared online. The quick appearance of a launch poster and subsequent live images have given the clearest look yet at the phones' styling.

The poster includes a semi-circle motif that appears to hint at a large circular camera module and highlights a green color option. Shortly after the poster surfaced, live photos of what are said to be Mate 90 phones appeared on the web, showing a bright green finish and a rear design with distinct textural and structural elements.

Design and camera details

The back panel divides into two clear sections. The upper portion shows a mixed line pattern, with vertical and horizontal lines layered to create a woven, textured look rather than a flat brushed finish. That texture appears to catch light differently depending on viewing angle, and it wraps around a prominent circular camera module that occupies the top half of the panel.

Inside the ring are three lenses arranged around a raised central piece stamped with Huawei's XMAGE branding. A small LED flash sits below the central element and what appears to be a laser autofocus sensor is positioned toward the top. The camera ring has a glossy, polished edge that contrasts with the matte textured surface surrounding it.

Below the textured area the panel changes to a plain, unpatterned section that runs down to a metallic Huawei logo near the bottom. The frame shown in the photos carries a gold-toned finish, offering a contrasting trim to the green rear.

Separately, images attributed to the Mate 90 RS Ultimate show a dual-tone treatment and a red ceramic back panel, indicating the line will include at least one premium material option.
