iPhone 20 Pro screens leak: sizes, resolutions, punch-hole

The iPhone 20 Pro is reported to use a roughly 6.41-inch display at about 2686 x 1236 pixels, according to early test-unit details shared by the tipster Digital Chat Station.

Digital Chat Station says the same test-stage reports show the iPhone 20 Pro Max at roughly 6.96 inches with an approximate resolution of 2912 x 1340 pixels, and that both phones feature a borderless, quad-curved panel and a visible punch-hole front camera cutout. The tipster emphasizes these figures come from test units and could change before any official release.

The leaked sizes and resolutions would be modest increases over the recently launched iPhone 18 Pro series. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max shipped earlier this month with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, respectively, the 18 Pro at 2622 x 1206 pixels and the 18 Pro Max at 2868 x 1320 pixels. Both current Pro displays are listed at 460 ppi, and Digital Chat Station’s numbers imply the 20 Pro models would retain a pixel density of roughly 460 ppi, preserving display sharpness while slightly enlarging the panel. The leaked resolutions also keep the same display proportions as the current Pro models.

What we have heard about the display so far

In April, Digital Chat Station reported Apple was working with Samsung on a custom panel for the anniversary model with all four edges slightly curved and no polarizer layer, and that Apple was still fine-tuning the curvature. A render video covered in May showed a version of the iPhone 20 with no visible cutout and both the front camera and Face ID placed under the display; the punch-hole cited in the latest leak would indicate a different configuration on those test units. Other reports around the same period said Apple was working with Samsung and LG to reduce brightness loss around the curved edges, underscoring that the display design remains under development.

For now, the leaked screen sizes, resolutions, and punch-hole design should be treated as test-stage details rather than final specifications.

Where the iPhone 20 Pro series stands

Digital Chat Station also said in June that Apple had started testing and molding for the company’s 2027 iPhone series and described "iPhone 19" as a tentative name. Reports dating back to last October have suggested Apple might not use that name for the anniversary device. Apple has not announced the product or confirmed its name; with the iPhone turning 20 in 2027, the company has time to revise designs and specifications before launch.
