The iPhone Duo pairs a 48MP 1/1.56-inch 26mm f/1.6 wide camera with a 48MP 1/2.55-inch 13mm f/2.2 ultra-wide, both capable of multi-frame processing and HDR.

Apple commissioned award-winning photographers Jake Michaels, who contributed one of the photos, and Jason Nocito to showcase the iPhone Duo's cameras. Both photographers have shot celebrities including Woody Harrelson, Keith Richards, Future, ASAP Rocky, Ariana Grande, and George Clooney.

Photographers and campaign

The assignment continues Apple's Shot on iPhone media initiatives, where the company supplies devices to established professionals to produce promotional imagery. Apple gave the Duo to the two photographers to illustrate its imaging pipeline and output.

Apple does not position the iPhone Duo as a camera-focused flagship, yet it equips the device with the dual 48MP sensors above and processing aimed at multi-frame capture and HDR image production.

The iPhone Duo goes on sale October 16 and will ship October 23.

Apple published the resulting images to accompany the product rollout; the photographs underline that composition, lighting, and the photographer's skill remain central to the final picture.
