OnePlus Ace 7 leaks show active cooling and flagship SoC

Leaked details indicate OnePlus plans to fit the next Ace phone with an active cooling fan and a flagship Snapdragon processor, a move that would mark a visible shift in the series' thermal strategy. The information comes from leaker Digital Chat Station and has circulated in early reports about the OnePlus Ace 7.

According to the leak, the Ace 7 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a new thermal approach that OnePlus reportedly hopes will let the chip run at higher sustained performance. Speculation around the design points to a large, active fan combined with a technology described as Wind Chaser to manage heat.

From vapor chamber to continuous airflow

The change would contrast with the Ace 6 Ultra, which relied on a passive 6000 mm² vapor chamber for heat dissipation. An active system with continuous airflow expels heat rather than relying solely on internal vapor movement. That difference could reduce thermal bottlenecks and help maintain stable frame rates during heavy processing.

Other specifications reported in the leaks include a display with an up to 185 Hz refresh rate and configurations offering as much as 16 GB of RAM. The phone is also said to run ColorOS 17.
