As Xiaomi rolls out a new wave of handsets in China, a separate leak has sharpened focus on Redmi's next performance phone. Tipster Digital Chat Station says a forthcoming mid range performance model from Redmi will use MediaTek's Dimensity 9500s chipset and carry a battery capacity exceeding 10,000 milliampere hours, a combination that points to the Turbo 6 Max variant.
The leak arrives while Xiaomi is promoting the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, Xiaomi 18 Pro, Redmi K100 Pro Max and Redmi K100 Pro, and amid reports that new Xiaomi 18 and Redmi K100 series phones could arrive by the end of the year. Digital Chat Station did not explicitly name the device, but the details line up with earlier reports about a Turbo 6 Max being tested with a 10,000mAh battery.
Display, chipset position and other tips
According to the tipster, the phone will offer a very large display. When asked whether the panel would be 6.9 inches or roughly 7 inches, Digital Chat Station suggested the larger size is likely. Exact dimensions were not provided.

Digital Chat Station also noted that MediaTek's 3 nanometer Dimensity 9600M is currently earmarked for a flagship mid sized model. That allocation implies the Dimensity 9500s will be positioned differently within Redmi's lineup, though the leak did not include full technical specifications for the 9500s.
Previous reports and leaks have added other details attributed to the Turbo 6 Max. These include a 7 inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution, a 3 nanometer Dimensity 9 series chipset, a metal middle frame, IP68 or IP69 rated protection, an ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor, and a minimalist dual rear camera in a horizontal arrangement.
The Turbo 6 series is expected to include a base Turbo 6 and a more powerful Turbo 6 Max. Sources claim the Max model is being tested with a 10,000mAh battery, but Redmi has not confirmed battery size, camera layout, chipset choices, display resolution or any official launch date.
Multiple leaks have pointed to a January launch window for the Turbo 6 Max, though the company has made no public announcement. For now, the combination of a Dimensity 9500s chipset and a battery above 10,000mAh remains a rumor from Digital Chat Station and earlier tipsters, not a confirmed specification from Redmi.
