Samsung announced on 07 October 2026 that it has signed former France forward Thierry Henry to promote the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 in a Europe-wide "Welcome to Foldables" video campaign.
The three devices launched in July.
The campaign will run across Europe and comprises a series of videos showing how each foldable adapts to different lifestyles and moments.
Samsung says Henry is a long-time Samsung user; that claim is unverified. There have been past cases where celebrities were paid to use Samsung devices and later reverted to iPhones once contracts ended.
In the campaign Henry appears in multiple versions handling tasks simultaneously. He is shown demonstrating the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra's multitasking capabilities, watching football on the Galaxy Z Fold8, and taking a "perfectly framed" selfie with the Galaxy Z Flip8.
