Czech digital artist Rostislav Prokop has rendered a two-door, mid-engine Toyota Camry powered by a Hellcat V8 and built on a Honda NSX-based platform.

Prokop, who posts as 'rostislav_prokop', finished the digital Camry in deep black with sharp red accents and forged carbon elements, and he revised the body into an extreme aerodynamic widebody.

The rendering converts the Camry into a mid-engine sports car with a two-door layout, pronounced wide fenders, big-lipped aftermarket alloy wheels, a red interior, and a central quad-tip exhaust at the rear.

Prokop described the project: 'I turned the Camry into something that was never meant to exist - a mid-engine performance machine built around a Honda NSX-based platform and powered by a Hellcat V8. Finished in deep black with sharp red accents, forged carbon elements, and a completely reworked stance, this is my vision of a Camry taken to the extreme.'

Toyota Motor North America reported 201,306 deliveries in the U.S. last month, a rise of more than eight percent. The third quarter rose by less than one percentage point to over 633,000 units.

The Toyota brand climbed almost eight percent in September and was up 0.5 percent to 540,000 units over the past three months. Strong sellers listed by the company include the Tacoma, Sienna, Corolla, Camry, Grand Highlander, and 4Runner, while the RAV4 was down almost 30 percent year over year.

Separately, Toyota said the Camry sold almost 261,000 units in the first nine months of the year, an increase of more than 11 percentage points versus the same period last year.

This Camry is a purely digital concept and not an announced production project.
