On 15 September 2026 Xiaomi officially began teasing the Xiaomi 18 Pro series with a short video posted on Weibo. The company said the lineup will launch in China later this month but has not given a firm date. The teaser follows last week’s unveiling of the Xiaomi 18 Fold and offers a first look at the new phones' rear panel.

Design and rear display

The clip shows a rear display similar to the one used on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Xiaomi says the rear display has been upgraded and is now more versatile than before, though the company has not explained what changes were made. A recent rumor suggested the 18 Pro models will feature a larger rear display.

The teaser also reveals a triple rear camera arrangement. Two sensors appear housed inside a large rectangular camera plateau while the third sits outside that plateau, a layout similar to the Xiaomi 17 Pro series.

Certification and chipset rumor

Xiaomi's Weibo post adds that more details will be revealed tomorrow. Separately, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max were recently certified in China with support for 100W wired charging. The phones are also rumored to be the first smartphones to use Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
