An insider tip posted by Victor on 11 October 2026 says every Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will ship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, even as Samsung readies its new Exynos 2700 for other S27 family models.

The Exynos 2700 is already known to be a strong design from Samsung System LSI. It will be fabbed on Samsung's SF2P, a second-generation 2nm Gate-All-Around node, a transistor architecture intended to improve density and efficiency. Compared with the first-generation SF2 node used for the Exynos 2600, SF2P offers a 12% performance improvement, a 25% reduction in power usage and an 8% decrease in chip area. The design is also expected to use ARM C2 CPU cores.

Samsung System LSI has been pushing for Exynos 2700 to appear in the top S flagship, and production was reportedly increased to meet demand. Reports already say that Samsung pushed Exynos 2700 production "more than 10% higher" than the Exynos 2600, which the company appears to have done in part to supply the new S27 Pro model. At the same time, Samsung maintains a longstanding strategic relationship with Qualcomm, a factor the tipster describes as complicating the final chipset decision.

According to the insider, yields on Exynos 2700 are "really good," but there is nevertheless little chance of seeing the chip in the S27 Ultra. A final decision has reportedly not been made, but the most likely outcome is clear. Every S27 Ultra will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The S27, S27+ and the new S27 Pro are expected to use Exynos in Europe and Korea and Snapdragon in China and the US.
