Huawei Mate 90 leaks detail chips and cameras pre-launch

Huawei confirmed it will launch the Mate 90 series in China on October 1. Ahead of that date, tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo what it described as the key specifications for all four models in the lineup.

Chipsets and displays

In a Weibo post, Digital Chat Station attributed different system-on-chip SKUs to each model and identified display sizes for the Pro variants.

• Mate 90 (base): Kirin 9030
• Mate 90 Pro: Kirin 9035
• Mate 90 Pro Max: Kirin 9050 Pro
• Mate 90 RS: Kirin 9050 Pro

The tipster said the Mate 90 Pro will use a 6.75-inch dual-layer OLED display, while the Mate 90 Pro Max is said to feature a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display.

Cameras, Collector's Edition and RS design

According to the leak, the Mate 90 Pro Max will include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and a primary rear camera with 18EV of dynamic range. The tipster added that a Collector's Edition will support a 1-inch 10x zoom lens.

The Mate 90 RS is reported to share the Pro Max's hardware specifications but to differ in construction, using a high-gloss titanium unibody. The RS model is said to be offered in White, Black, and Red color options.
